By completing this course you will receive the certificate of attainment for UEESS00174 Electrical Safety Testing of Electrical Cord Connected Equipment and Cord Assemblies Skill Set , comprising of UEERL0003 and UEECD0007.
This course is delivered in two parts:
Online Module (2–3 hours)
Complete in your own time before attending your practical training.
- Unit: UEECD0007 – Apply Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, codes and practices in the workplace
Face-to-Face or Virtual Module (1 Day)
Hands-on training with real equipment and guided instruction.
Unit: UEERL0003 – Conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord assemblies and cord connected equipment
You’ll gain practical skills you can apply immediately in the workplace:
- Inspect and identify faults in electrical equipment
- Perform safe and accurate testing procedures
- Use industry-standard portable appliance testers
- Apply correct tagging and documentation processes
- Understand compliance requirements under AS/NZS standards

- Train on leading testers including Metrel MI 3309, Seaward PAC3760 DL, U-Test 376t and Kyoritsu 6205 and Wavecom TnT.

No Prior Experience Needed
You don’t need any electrical background to enrol. This course is designed for beginners as well as those looking to formalise their skills.
Complete the Online Module
Participants are required to complete the online learning module (approx. 2–3 hours) before attending the practical training session.
Attend the Practical Training
You’ll need to attend the face-to-face or virtual training session, where hands-on learning and assessment take place.
Basic Language & Understanding
A basic level of English and understanding is required to follow instructions, complete assessments, and safely carry out testing procedures.
Course Recognition
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following nationally recognised units:
- UEECD0007 – Apply Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, codes and practices in the workplace
- UEERL0003 – Conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord assemblies and cord connected equipment
