Below we answer some of the most common questions we get. Please call or email us if you need any additional information.
How do I enrol?
You can enrol online or give us a call on 1300 730 699 and we can take your details over the phone - it only takes a few minutes. Either way, we will confirm you place and send you a Tax Invoice for payment.
How long is the course?
The Test and Tag course runs for a full day from 8am to 5pm. If you are doing the Nationally Recognised course there is also a Workplace Health and Safety online module that needs to be completed before you attend the course. That module takes approx. 2-3 hours.
The Plug Top courses and Three Phase courses each run for approx 4 hours. No pre-work is required.
How often do you run the courses?
We run courses at various locations at different frequencies. Please look for our course types, dates and locations on our home page.
Will you run a private course for me at my work premises?
Yes we often run courses on-site for our customers. Please give us a call on 1300 730 699 to discuss your requirements.
Do I need electrical experience to complete the Test and Tag course?
No you do not. In fact the courses are designed for people with no electrical experience. That said, we also train a number of people with an electrical background and they take just as much from the course as someone with no experience at all.
How soon after the course can I commence test and tagging?
The next day! Provided you pass your assessments in the classroom and have the appropriate equipment and tags, then you can begin Test and Tagging immediately after the course is finished.
What payment methods do you accept?
We do ask that the training course fees be paid at least five days prior to the course being attended. You can pay by EFT, credit card or cheque.
Do I have to renew my licence every year?
No. The Test and Tag course provides you with a level of Competency based on a number of assessments. We do not issue you with a licence as such. Provided you use the new skills on a reasonably regular basis, then you are deemed to be competent and there is no obligation to attend a refresher course or carry out any renewals.
Can I buy appliance testers and tags from you?
Yes. We offer special 'Course Packages' to anyone who does a course with us. We also sell Test and Tag supplies direct to the general public. Please go back to our home page and click on the 'Products' tile to see our range of equipment and supplies.
I left school early and don't really like doing written assessments. Will I be able to pass this course?
Our trainers and there to help give you the required skills to pass the course. Our experience tells us that if you are willing to invest the time and effort into the course, then you will almost certainly pass.
